The Richland Township Fire Department participated in the Richland Community Days event on August 14th and 15th by showing off our complete fleet and giving tours of the fire apparatus to the community.  This weekend event was a huge success for everyone that involved food, crafts, entertainment, kids activities, a parade, a teen dance, a motorcycle run and fireworks and more.  We would like to thank Richland Township, Somerset Trust Company, Our town magazine and Inco Beverage to be the main sponsors of this event.   The Richland Township Fire Department will be looking forward to next years event.

Our twin Sutphen’s will be making their way to the Township of Richland and the Borough of Geistown here shortly.  Both Engines are in production and should be deliveried here in late August or September.  Stay posted as the deliveries of the twins will be made on their due date.

We would like to take our hats off to our very own “The Club” for taking the trophy for best wings overall at the Conemaugh Township Fire Department yearly wing fling event.   This event was a weekend gathering throughout the month of July with local bars and restaurants competing against each other for the best wings in town.  “The Club” came out on top with their unique flavors that where put to the test.  We would like to congratulate everyone who made this a success and bringing the wing trophy to the township.
